Edward Prince has been a fantastic find for us. We needed a number of pieces of specialised furniture to be made to fit our house. This included cabinets, a shelf and cupboard unit, special benches to contain kids toys as well as being comfortable and a wall bed, desk and storage unit. All of these required considerable consultation, an individual design and expert craftsmanship to complete the project. We have been extremely happy with the results and with all our dealings with Edward. We would highly recommend him to anyone requiring a skilled designer and craftsman to do their work.

Our brief to Edward was to create two sets of French doors and also convert a built in sideboard into a set of drawers in our 100 year old home. He listened carefully to our plans and then came up with great ideas that were sympathetic to the age of the home and the existing cabinetry. His communication was excellent. He arrived when he said he would and if plans changed, he contacted us. Edward is an excellent craftsman and we recommend him to anyone who cares about the integrity and quality of their home.

We were looking for a bed that would fit into a small room for our exuberant five year old. We wanted built in space for clothes and toys and made, from environmentally sustainable materials. We hadn’t been able to find what we were looking for ready-made, and Edward had been recommended to us through university work colleagues. Edward’s collaborative style, his visit to the house and his knowledge about environmentally friendly products meant we felt confident about the process. He remained in regular contact during the design and build, stayed within our agreed budget and delivered in the agreed time. The end result is a beautifully made high bed using sustainable sources of wood and a natural finish. Our daughter is delighted, and might even be learning to put things away.

I needed to build a wardrobe in our master bedroom – its a small room and required some thinking. I now have a corner hand crafted wardrobe with natural Wood – in keeping with our 1920’s bungalow, and making the most of the limited space. I can now fit all of my clothes and shoes into the corner space that we weren’t using – brilliant idea and design which I hadn’t considered, and couldn’t have bought from a shop or kitset model – this is crafstmanship and clever design– looks a million dollars and most importantly my shoes are happy.

We had a stairwell that was an occupational health and safety hazard (it was partially exposed and without a hand-rail)…It was particularly dangerous for pre-schoolers and elderly relatives. Someone recently recommended a designer/craftsman called Edward Prince I contacted Edward and he promptly came up with a solution for our stairwell dilemma (which was reasonably priced, attractive and functional). I would also like to recommend Edward.
